By Juan C. Ayllon With many of us under "Stay at Home" orders, it's hard not to get down. So, we stay busy, doing what work we can from home; we clean, organize, exercise, and tackle long put off projects and chores. We also distract, watching TV, listening to music, tinkering with our audio systems, reading, emailing, and playing on social media. And, of course, with so much time on our hands, we get introspective -- which can be good or bad.

By Juan C. Ayllon With the Corona Virus kicking into higher gear, many of us are stuck either working from or puttering around home. And for us audio enthusiasts, having good music and a nice system helps make the time pass faster. But, what happens if your Digital to Analog Converter is out being serviced?
I'm glad you asked! Mine is being serviced at my technician's lab and, to be honest, I don't want to simply play vinyl for all my listening. So, what do you do? By Juan C. Ayllon There really should be a 12-Step Recovery Group for audiophiles. I mean, when you think about it, so many of us are obsessive types. It’s not good enough to have a decent or very good system, but we want the best we can get and, when we get our system dialed-in, we are elated for about two weeks, and then we begin fretting about the next possible improvement. It could be as simple as a tweak, or maybe swapping out something minor like new tubes, cables, or other accessories. Or, it could be major -- a new set of speakers, a preamplifier, amp, a DAC, or turntable. The list of potential improvements goes on. If we’re really honest, for many of us, this is an addiction.
